Certified Teachers
With education and experience in early childhood care

We have two full time teachers and a few assistants with experience in early childhood care.

We love to plan and organize fun activities, and lead our preschoolers in activities that stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth. Our (early childhood educator) assistants provide additional care and guidance to the children during class time.

Lisa Timofejew is a registered early childhood practitioner. She has been teaching since 2006 and has extensive experience in the emergent curriculum and play based learning. Lisa is married and has three children who have all come through the Pied Piper program.
Lisa has completed many courses, including The Hanen Language Program, Basic Signed English, Emergent Curriculum Training, CPR and First Aid Training. Lisa is a certified autism intervener through the Geneva Centre for Autism.
Outside of the preschool, Lisa is a dedicated mother and actively involved with children.

Jennifer Butler has been working at Pied Piper since May 2016. She is a Registered Early Child Educator. Jennifer is married and has three children who have all come through the Pied Piper program. Jennifer has completed CPR and First Aid Training and How Does Learning Happen Workshop. She was also President of the parent board of directors for Pied Piper for two years and Vice President for one

Miss Rose is a Teacher’s Assistant at Pied Piper Preschool. She loves the preschool’s program so much that she has enrolled in the Mohawk College RECE program. She is a mother of 3 and actively participates in a special needs sledge hockey team and has a vast knowledge of different handicaps and exceptionalities in children. Miss Rose is also qualified in First Aid and CPR.

Miss Cara started as a parent with her children in the Pied Piper Preschool program. She loved the program so much she has enrolled at Mohawk College to earn her Early Childhood practitioner certification. Cara has run her own private home day care for years and loves to work with children. Cara also has extensive knowledge with autism and people with exceptionalities. Miss Cara is a Teacher’s Assistant and is qualified in First Aid and CPR.

Executive Committee
Our executive board is elected from our members, the parents/caregivers of the children attending.

They are responsible for running the preschool, administering the finances, organizing fundraising activities, ensuring compliance with the by-laws and regulations and planning all general meetings.

Supervisor/Teacher – in charge of planning and implementation of a quality preschool program.
President – chairs all meetings; provide direction and leadership; represent the school to the community.
Vice President – carries out the role of the President if absent; handles all advertising for the school.
Treasurer – handles all monies of the school; sets up the annual budget and presents the annual financial statement to be approved by the membership.
Secretary – records and keeps minutes of all meetings; takes attendance at membership meetings.
